Are the funds held by you or by a smart contract?

Neither. Contributions are normal SOL transfers from the buyer to the wallet you set as the receiving wallet. That makes it simple and non-custodial, but it also means there is no automatic refund or token delivery: you are responsible for distributing tokens (use the Airdrop tool) and for honoring refunds if the soft cap is not met.

How is the raised amount calculated?

The page reads recent incoming SOL transfers to your receiving wallet that carry your presale memo and adds them up. It is an estimate: very busy presales or RPC limits can make the number lag, so always verify on Solscan.

How the presale page works

You enter your token, price, caps, buy limits, dates and receiving wallet. The details are pinned to IPFS and you get a permanent link to share. Buyers open the link, connect a wallet and send SOL straight to your receiving wallet with a memo that identifies your presale. The page tracks the SOL raised by reading those transfers from the chain. Tokens are not distributed automatically: when the presale ends, you send tokens to contributors with the Airdrop tool.
